What is an End-of-Life Doula?

No. The two services are not the same although they both focus on providing comfort at end-of-life. The ideal situation for many people is having both services; hospice to focus on medical care and a doula to focus on the emotional, spiritual and planning needs for a good death.

I can help you by providing a personal, peaceful and special end-of-life transition. This will be done by planning, educating, supporting and comforting you and your loved ones in many different ways; I can help you to navigate through many choices to achieve your end-of-life wishes.

How can you help me?

Does insurance cover your services?

An End-of-Life Doula, sometimes referred to as a Death Doula, is a holistic, non-medical care provider for people and their families that are facing the end-of-life. End-of-Life Doulas are trained to care for a terminally ill person’s physical, emotional, and spiritual needs during the death process.

Do I need to be under hospice care to use your services?

No. At this time End-of-Life Doulas are not covered by any type of insurance. Hourly rates and packages are available, which will be discussed during your free initial consultation. For sitting vigil at the end, a sliding scale can be put into place if needed; no one will be turned away at this stage due to inability to pay.
