Meet Tracey

Welcome to South Tampa Doula. My name is Tracey Domzalski BS, CEOLD, and I am a Certified End-of-Life Doula, and the founder here at South Tampa Doula. I have been working with seniors and their families in many different capacities for over 30 years, beginning as a Dietary Aide at a nursing home in Pennsylvania. It was there that I discovered a natural passion for serving elders. I also realized that I was drawn to caring for and accompanying people who were actively dying. I did not always understand this calling, but in the decades to follow I only grew closer to this passion, inspiring me to start a business dedicated to helping people in their preparations for death.

Throughout the years, I have worked in just about every position you can imagine within the field of elder care. After receiving a degree in Gerontology (the study of physical, mental, and social changes in people as they age) I spent years working as a Hospice Volunteer Coordinator. I then moved down to Florida where I continued by working as a Certified Medical Assistant and as a Social Worker for a nursing home/rehab center. Since 2014, I have been working in assisted living where I have had the opportunity to meet and care for many of the residents. I’ve sat vigil with many of them as well which has been both an honor and a privilege. I loved these people and would never let them be alone at this time. It was exactly where I was meant to be.

I care for every person as if they were my own family and will always go above and beyond to ensure comfort in every way throughout the transition.
